Ivete Gama launches low‑cost Apê Smart Studios rentals in Brazil
Brazilian entrepreneur Ivete Gama, who spent more than two decades building major fitness chains such as Bodytech, Blue Fit and Smart Fit, has applied the same low‑cost, high‑value model to short‑term rentals. As CEO and co‑founder of Apê Smart Studios, she launched the brand in 2021, offering furnished studios with air‑conditioning and full infrastructure at daily rates starting from R$150.
The network now operates 12 buildings in São Paulo and one property in Santos, with plans to expand the concept to additional Brazilian cities. Gama says the approach mirrors the gym sector’s focus on scale, standardized processes and clear consumer value.
The venture builds on her experience as co‑founder of Ultra Academia and her work with advertising agencies serving large brands, translating fitness‑industry efficiencies into the urban hospitality market.
