Ivete Sangalo fans protest after São Paulo show postponement

Singer Ivete Sangalo is facing significant backlash from fan clubs following the postponement of her “A La Sangalo” concert in São Paulo. Originally scheduled for October 31 at Parque Ibirapuera, the event has been rescheduled for March 6, 2027, due to heavy rains that hindered stage assembly and raised safety concerns.

Multiple fan clubs, including the “I Love Sangalo” page with over 860,000 followers, have suspended their social media activities in protest. While fans expressed support for safety measures, they criticized the production for a lack of planning, poor communication, and late notification, which caused financial losses for those who had already booked travel and lodging.

Critics have also targeted the singer’s management team, specifically pointing to Bento Sangalo, the artist’s nephew and a member of IESSI Entertainment. Fans have alleged a disparity in treatment between regular supporters and invited influencers, and reported that some production members blocked users seeking clarification. Sangalo expressed her sadness regarding the situation, stating she prioritized public safety over the immediate performance.
