Iván Martín joins Racing de Santander from Girona FC

Racing de Santander has officially signed midfielder Iván Martín from Girona FC. The transfer is valued at 3 million euros plus variables, including a 20% clause on any future sale.

Martín joins Racing after a significant tenure at Girona, where he played 167 official matches. He was a key figure in the club's historic rise from the second division to competing in the Champions League, even serving as team captain. His time at Montilivi was marked by notable contributions, including a decisive goal against Atlético de Madrid.

Racing manager José Alberto praised the signing, describing Martín as a “very complete” and “creative” player capable of playing both as an interior midfielder and a right winger. The coach noted Martín's high-level experience, highlighting that he arrives having played in the Champions League.
