Iván Poduje prioritizes employment solutions over political blame

Chilean Minister of Housing and Urbanism, Iván Poduje, has called for the government to focus on immediate solutions to the country's economic challenges rather than debating responsibility for the current unemployment rate, which has reached 9.5%.

In recent interviews, Poduje stated that whether the current economic situation is the fault of the previous administration is irrelevant, noting that citizens demand results rather than explanations. He emphasized that the administration's priority is to implement short, medium, and long-term measures to stimulate activity and generate employment.

Poduje highlighted that the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism has the authority to drive short-term economic activity through infrastructure and housing initiatives. He noted that the executive branch is shifting focus away from constitutional debates toward urgent, actionable economic measures.
