Iván Torres returns to TVN after health complications

Meteorologist Iván Torres has returned to TVN after a three-month absence due to health complications. Torres revealed that he underwent surgery for prostatitis, which was subsequently complicated by hospital-acquired bacterial infections.

During his return to the morning news program, Torres noted that he has lost 15 kilograms. He humorously explained that he has begun wearing a neck scarf to mask his thinner appearance, joking, “I have a very thin neck, I look like a chicken.”

Regarding his recovery, Torres stated that while he is feeling better, he is still dealing with anemia and some lingering internal issues caused by the bacteria. In addition to his personal update, he provided a weather forecast warning of an approaching frontal system in Santiago, predicting rain, hail, and lightning through the week.
