Ivorian universities expand digital infrastructure and innovation hubs
Educational institutions in Côte d'Ivoire are expanding digital infrastructure and support systems to enhance student employability and innovation.
At the University of San Pedro, a new FabLab has been inaugurated following an investment of nearly 200 million FCFA. Provided by MTN Côte d'Ivoire, the facility is designed to serve as a hub for students, researchers, and entrepreneurs to prototype and develop technological solutions. This initiative follows a similar 300 million FCFA investment by MTN and MIP School at the INP-HB in Yamoussoukro.
Simultaneously, the Polytechnic University of Bingerville (UPB) has launched its ‘UPB Performance 2026-2030’ strategic plan. Key developments include the launch of a business incubator, the commissioning of a cybersecurity laboratory, and the modernization of technological infrastructure. To bridge the gap between academia and industry, UPB has established a partnership with Huawei for talent recruitment and is introducing work-study programs in certain master's degrees.
