Ivory Coast football squad faces player losses and injuries

The Ivory Coast national football team is facing roster challenges ahead of their upcoming matches against Ghana, Somalia, and Cameroon. The squad has lost several dual-national players to Italy, including midfielder Issa Doumbia, defender Eddy Kouadio, and forward Mohamed Ali Zoma, despite public recruitment efforts by coach Hervé Renard.

Additionally, the team has dealt with injury setbacks. Odilon Kossounou and Guéla Doué have been ruled out of the upcoming FIFA window. While Ismaël Doukouré was initially rumored to be a replacement, the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) confirmed that Junior Diaz and Luck Zogbé have instead been called up to reinforce the squad.
