Ivrea hosts 2026 Canoe Slalom European Championships

The 2026 Paddle Europe Slalom Championships are taking place in Ivrea, Italy, on the Dora Baltea river. The event features approximately 180 athletes from 28 nations competing for 12 European titles across various kayak and canoe disciplines.

In the opening stages, Italy secured three medals in team competitions: gold in women’s C1, silver in women’s K1, and bronze in men’s C1. Notable competitors include Olympic champion Giovanni De Gennaro and world champion Tereza Kneblová, who is representing the Czech Republic. Other participating nations include Slovenia, Serbia, and Andorra.

The competition includes individual heats, semifinals, and finals for K1 and C1 categories, as well as kayakcross. The event concludes with night finals for kayakcross on the final day.
