Ivry-sur-Seine: Two dead in shisha bar shooting
A fatal shooting occurred during the night of Sunday, October 11, to Monday, October 12, at L’Atelier, a shisha bar and restaurant in Ivry-sur-Seine, Val-de-Marne.
Reports indicate that a woman wearing a wig entered the establishment and opened fire with a pistol, fatally wounding the owner, a man in his fifties, in the chest. During the incident, a valet attempted to intervene and managed to pull off the shooter's wig. A second assailant then entered the premises armed with a submachine gun, seriously wounding the employee. The employee later died from his injuries.
The suspects fled the scene in a utility vehicle, which was later found burned in a nearby street. Investigators recovered a weapon from the vehicle wreckage. Two young men were apprehended nearby in possession of gasoline canisters, though their specific involvement in the shooting or the vehicle fire is still under investigation.
