Iwaki FC suffers Emperor's Cup defeat to Sanfrecce Hiroshima

Iwaki FC was eliminated from the Emperor's Cup third round following a 0-4 loss to J1 side Sanfrecce Hiroshima at Hawaiians Stadium Iwaki on October 7. Despite rotating seven players from their previous starting lineup, Iwaki FC struggled with ball possession from the first half, conceding two goals early in the match.

Although Iwaki FC attempted to respond through attacks from the left flank and several scoring opportunities, they were unable to break through Hiroshima's defense. The defeat marks Iwaki FC's third consecutive loss in official competitions. Manager Kazuaki Tasaka stated that the team would use the performance as learning material to prepare for upcoming league matches.
