IWBA Sumbar hosts provincial woodball championship in Padang

The Indonesian Woodball Association (IWBA) Sumbar is hosting a provincial championship in Padang from August 30 to September 2, 2026. The event features 75 athletes representing 14 different regions in West Sumatra.

This championship serves as a critical preparation stage for the upcoming XVI West Sumatra Provincial Sports Week (Porprov), scheduled for October 2-14, 2026. Prof. Anton Komaini, Chairman of the IWBA Sumbar Provincial Board, stated that the tournament is a routine organizational agenda intended to evaluate athlete development and readiness for both national and international competitions. Seven competition categories are being contested, all of which will also be featured in the upcoming Porprov.
