IWC Schaffhausen and Mercedes-Benz launch limited edition watch

IWC Schaffhausen and Mercedes-Benz have announced a limited-edition collaboration to commemorate the 140th anniversary of the Benz Patent-Motorwagen. The release features the IWC Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar 140 Years Mercedes-Benz, a 42mm timepiece.

The watch utilizes the Perpetual Calendar ProSet mechanism, which allows users to adjust all calendar indications via a single crown position. The movement includes a highly precise moon phase indicator that requires correction only once every 1,040 years. The timepiece is powered by the IWC automatic calibre 82655, offering a power reserve of approximately 60 hours.

To honor the history of the automotive brand, the case back features the original combined logo of Daimler Motoren-Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie. under a sapphire crystal. Production is strictly limited to 140 units to mark the milestone since Karl Benz patented the first automobile in 1886.
