IWC unveils purple Pilot’s Watch for Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 partnership

IWC has unveiled the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team Edition, marking the fourth official team watch in its long-standing partnership with the racing team. The new release features a distinctive royal purple dial and matching rubber strap, a color choice inspired by the Vanda Miss Joaquim, the national flower of Singapore.

The watch is designed to commemorate the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix. It utilizes a 41mm Grade 5 titanium case, chosen for its lightweight and corrosion-resistant properties, mirroring materials used in Formula One engineering. The design incorporates Petronas-green accents on the indices and hands to maintain the team's visual identity.

Technical specifications include the automatic manufacture caliber 69385, which offers a 46-hour power reserve. The timepiece is water-resistant up to 100 meters and features the EasX-Change system for tool-free strap replacement. The model is worn by Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli.
