IWIP industrial park drives MSME growth in North Maluku

Industrial activities at the Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) are creating supply chain opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in North Maluku. The growing industrial demand for goods and services allows local businesses to expand their markets, increase production capacity, and create new employment opportunities.

One notable example is Suhendra, owner of CV Satu Tiga Berjaya. After experiencing bankruptcy in 2018, Suhendra rebuilt his business from a small-scale operation selling frozen chicken. In 2021, he secured an opportunity to supply food products to the IWIP industrial area.

His business has since expanded to provide a variety of food supplies, including frozen foods, meat, and seafood. CV Satu Tiga Berjaya now conducts deliveries 5 to 6 times per week using multiple vehicles and employs 34 workers from various regions in North Maluku, including Ternate, Sanana, Jailolo, Makean, and Weda.
