iwoca secures 185 million euros to expand German SME lending
Fintech company iwoca has secured an additional 185 million euros in refinancing to expand its small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) lending in Germany. The new credit line is provided by ABN AMRO, acting as the senior lender, and Neuberger, providing capital for the mezzanine tranche.
This new funding brings iwoca’s total available refinancing lines in Germany to over 560 million euros. The capital is intended specifically for debt financing to support corporate loans rather than as an equity round.
Iwoca’s German loan portfolio has more than doubled over the past year, currently standing at nearly 400 million euros with approximately 13,000 active customers. The company aims to grow its German loan portfolio to one billion euros by 2028.
