Iyad El-Kudra develops video game about Palestine-Israel conflict

Iyad El-Kudra, a Gaza-born furniture designer living in Ankara, has developed a computer and mobile game titled ‘Aksa Tufanı’ (Al-Aqsa Flood) that depicts the conflict between Palestinian fighters and Israeli forces.

Driven by a sense of helplessness regarding real-world combat, El-Kudra created the game to allow players to experience the struggle from a Palestinian perspective, with the ultimate goal of achieving a Palestinian victory. He stated that while they cannot fight in real life, the digital medium provides a way to confront the opposition.

El-Kudra, a father of three, balances his game development with his professional work in furniture design. He noted that he uses news reports and research on military equipment to inform the game's realism. His vision for the project includes a final level centered on the liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
