Iyus Jenius musical film premieres in Indonesia

The family musical film “Iyus Jenius” premiered in Indonesian cinemas on September 10, 2026. Produced by Gandhi Fernando, the film aims to provide a diverse alternative to the current dominance of horror films in the Indonesian film industry.

The story follows Iyus, a 10-year-old boy struggling with a loss of motivation and bullying following his father's death. Through the guidance of the character Babah T. Bob, Iyus finds courage and joy through music and imaginative adventures.

As a tribute to the late legendary children's songwriter Papa T. Bob, the film features popular 1990s children's songs such as “Diobok-obok,” “Jangan Marah,” and “Katanya.” Producers expressed a commitment to creating more high-quality content specifically for children and families.
