Izabella Rocha releases ska-jazz reimagining of Nina Simone classic

Izabella Rocha has released the single ‘Fica Comigo’, a Portuguese-language version of the American standard ‘Love or Leave Me’, originally made famous by Nina Simone. The track features a ska-jazz fusion arrangement produced by Rocha, utilizing a seven-piece ensemble to create a rhythmic, upbeat atmosphere compared to the 1958 original.

In addition to the Portuguese version, Rocha released a Spanish counterpart titled ‘Quédate Conmigo’. The project includes music videos filmed in Santa Catarina, Brazil, and Mexico. This release is part of a continuous series of singles leading up to her upcoming album, ‘Izabella Vol. 1’, which is scheduled for a full release in November 2026.
