Izak Dahora stars in Neguinho da Beija-Flor musical

Actor Izak Dahora has premiered in the musical ‘O Neguinho da Beija-Flor’ at the Teatro João Caetano in downtown Rio de Janeiro. The production celebrates the life and work of the renowned sambista Neguinho da Beija-Flor.

Dahora, who is recognized for his childhood role as Saci in ‘Sítio do Picapau Amarelo’, described the premiere as a unique and deeply emotional experience. To prepare for the role, the actor underwent an intensive research process, studying numerous interviews and historical records of the sambista’s life, including his struggles with illness.

The actor noted that this role marks a significant new phase in his 30-year career.
