Izet Mexhiti highlights government investments in Albanian municipalities

Izet Mexhiti, co-chairman of VLEN, has commented on the impact of government policies and infrastructure investments within Albanian-majority municipalities in North Macedonia. He noted that financial support and infrastructure projects are driving local development and strengthening decentralization, a key pillar of the Ohrid Agreement.

Mexhiti highlighted several specific projects, including a 60 million euro investment for UNT, works on Corridor 8, and the Skopje–Blace road. He also pointed to investments in Skanderbeg Square, the Tetovo hospital, and projects in Kercova as evidence of improved representation and meeting local needs. Additionally, he reported that 2,500 Albanians have been employed during the current mandate.
