IZI recycling platform processes over 1 million packages monthly

The IZI return system has reached a new milestone, processing over 1 million SGR (Deposit-Return System) packages per month. This monthly volume matches the total number of packages the platform collected during its first six months of operation.

Currently, the network operates 27 return centers across five Romanian locations: Iași, Botoșani, Suceava, Dumbrăveni, and Dorohoi. The platform, which allows users to return PET bottles, glass, and cans using bags, has seen its registered user base double to 24,000 in just four months.

Data indicates high customer retention, with 90% of users returning to the system. The company reports over 35,000 bag deposits monthly. Founder Ștefan Parascanu noted that the rapid growth validates consumer confidence in the digitalized recycling infrastructure.
