Izmir Akdeniz Academy hosts networking night for young designers

The Izmir Akdeniz Academy, organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, held a ‘Networking Night’ at the historic Bicakci Han as part of the Good Design Izmir_11 program. The event brought together young designers, industry professionals, academics, and representatives from international cultural institutions.

Following the iF Design Turkey Panel, the event allowed design students to showcase their graduation projects through the üTAS exhibition. This provided a platform for students to receive professional feedback, establish internship and employment connections, and learn about industry expectations.

Erden Göktepe, the Communication Coordinator for Good Design Izmir_11, emphasized that the initiative aims to strengthen the limited industrial ties students often have during their academic years, helping them prepare for professional life through direct contact with the sector.
