Izmir Chamber of Commerce expands export ties in US market

The Izmir Chamber of Commerce (IZTO) led a delegation of 18 printing, paper, and packaging companies to Chicago, USA, to strengthen export connections. Supported by the Turkish Ministry of Trade under the UR-GE Project, the delegation participated in sectoral marketing activities involving 34 foreign buyers and nearly 100 bilateral business meetings.

The mission identified significant opportunities as American firms seek to diversify their supply chains and reduce dependence on East Asia. During the visit, the delegation also attended the LOUPE Americas 2026 exhibition to examine new production solutions, automation systems, and machinery technologies.

In addition to business meetings, the delegation held consultations with key officials, including the Consul General in Chicago, trade attachés, and representatives from the TOBB Chicago Trade Center and the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.
