Izmir International Fair hosts cardboard boat race

As part of the 95th Izmir International Fair, a cardboard boat race was held in collaboration with Red Bull at Kulturpark. Hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by IZFAS, the event encouraged young participants to showcase their creativity and engineering skills.

Teams, primarily composed of university students, utilized workshops to design and construct boats using cardboard and various other materials. Participants from institutions such as Izmir University of Technology and Izmir University of Economics applied theoretical knowledge to practical construction. Some teams even reported using artificial intelligence to assist in their design processes.
