Turkey is preparing for two major cultural events in September 2026. In Eskişehir, the International Porsuk Festival will take place from September 2 to September 6. Sponsored by ETİ, the festival features 136 artists from 21 countries and includes concerts, theater, dance, and workshops centered around the Porsuk River. Opening festivities include parades at Vilayet Square and Porsuk Boulevard.

In İzmir, the 95th İzmir International Fair will be held at Kültürpark from September 5 to September 13, 2026. A centerpiece of the fair is the ROMANTİKA / Bir Ömrün Seyrüseferi exhibition dedicated to Nazım Hikmet. Running from September 5, 2026, to January 15, 2027, at the Atlas Pavilion, the exhibition utilizes hundreds of documents, manuscripts, and personal items from various international archives to present a multi-layered view of the poet's life.
