İzmir lottery winner claims 20 million TL jackpot

A lottery winner in the Çiğli district of İzmir, Turkey, won a 20 million TL jackpot after playing a ‘Kazı Kazan Elmas’ scratch card. The winning ticket was purchased from Adıbelli Tekel in the Küçük Çiğli neighborhood on September 14.

The winner initially believed she had won only 20,000 TL after scratching the card elsewhere. However, upon checking the ticket at a different vendor, it was revealed to be the 20 million TL grand prize. Turan Adıbelli, the owner of the shop where the card was sold, expressed happiness over the win, noting that business at the outlet has increased as locals now have more confidence in the legitimacy of the prizes.

The shop owner mentioned that the specific pack of Diamond cards was selected by chance during a routine weekly order. While the identity of the winner has not been disclosed, local residents expressed their own aspirations for such a windfall, citing desires to purchase homes and cars.
