İzmir Metropolitan Municipality opens applications for Health Volunteers Project

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality has opened applications for the new term of its Health Volunteers Project. Now in its second year, the initiative utilizes a ‘One Health’ approach, which treats human, environmental, and animal health as an interconnected whole.

The project aims to strengthen access to reliable health information, improve health literacy, and establish a sustainable volunteering model within the community. During its first term, the program brought together 98 young health volunteers and 30 mentor health volunteers to conduct various studies.

In this new phase, the municipality seeks to expand the network by including participants from different educational and professional backgrounds. Interested individuals can apply through the official website, bizvariz.izmir.bel.tr, and undergo interviews to determine their specific areas of interest and skill sets.
