The İzmir Metropolitan Municipality has distributed 100 million Turkish Liras in stationery support to families with primary and middle school students. Managed by the Social Services Department, the initiative provides financial aid to 20,000 households to help cover the costs of school supplies such as notebooks and pens ahead of the new academic year.

The funding amount has seen significant increases in recent years, rising from approximately 34.1 million TL in 2024 and 48.7 million TL in 2025 to the current 100 million TL. Under the administration of Mayor Cemil Tugay, the total cumulative stationery support provided has reached 182,896,000 TL.

Beneficiaries can withdraw the funds from Vakıfbank branches using their identification documents. Mustafa Apaydın, Head of the Education Support Branch, stated that these investments are viewed as an investment in the future of İzmir, aimed at ensuring children have a strong start to the school year.
