Erzurum and Izmir launch major agricultural support programs

Agricultural development initiatives are underway in Erzurum and Izmir. In Erzurum, the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has announced the results of the Rural Development Investment Program (KKYP). A total of 329 projects have been approved for grant support, with a total budget of 171.2 million TL allocated. The largest portion of this funding, approximately 151.6 million TL, is designated for 322 projects under the Family Business category to ensure sustainable production.

In Izmir, the Metropolitan Municipality has launched a support program for narcissus production in the Karaburun district. To protect and expand the cultivation of this symbolic flower, 300,000 narcissus bulbs are being distributed to local producers. Karaburun is a significant contributor to Turkey’s narcissus production, accounting for a substantial portion of the national harvest.
