Izmir Stoa Orchestra Camp Ends with Gala Concert in Şirince

The Stoa Orchestra Camp, organized with support from the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, brought 76 selected young musicians to the village of Şirince for an eight‑day intensive program. Under the direction of project supervisor Prof. Rengim Gökmen and music director Tolga Taviş, the participants studied with eleven instructors covering strings, winds and brass.

The camp concluded with a gala concert at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center, where the youth orchestra performed works including Henryk Wieniawski’s Polonaise Brillante, Camille Saint‑Saëns’s Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso, Joaquín Rodrigo’s Guitar Concerto, and Antonín Dvořák’s Ninth Symphony. Soloists Alican Süner (violin) and Cem Çeliksırt (guitar) featured, showcasing the students’ progress.
