İzmir to complete modern fire station in Dikili by 2026

The İzmir Metropolitan Municipality is constructing a new fire‑service building in the coastal district of Dikili. The project, intended to replace an outdated facility, has reached a 33 % physical‑completion rate and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. The 68 million‑lira investment will deliver a two‑storey complex of about 1,500 sq m of indoor space and 3,100 sq m of landscaped area, including a four‑vehicle garage, parking, training zones, staff showers, a social area and a basketball court.

Additional upgrades are also being carried out at existing İzmir fire stations, such as renovations of kitchens, bathrooms, façades and roof insulation across several districts, enhancing overall emergency‑response capacity in the region.
