Turkey provinces face widespread planned electricity outages

Multiple regions across Turkey are facing planned electricity outages due to scheduled maintenance, network upgrades, and infrastructure repairs.

In Bolu, SEDAŞ announced outages for October 3, affecting districts including Merkez, Seben, Mudurnu, and Gerede. In Balıkesir, 16 districts including Ayvalık, Bandırma, and Gönen will experience interruptions lasting up to eight hours. Aydın is also scheduled for outages in İncirliova, Bozdoğan, Çine, Efeler, and Kuyucak to facilitate network investments and tree trimming.

In Konya, MEDAŞ has released an extensive list of affected streets in Çumra, Beyşehir, and Selçuklu for October 3. Gaziantep will see service interruptions in Şahinbey, Şehitkamil, Oğuzeli, and Karkamış as part of energy infrastructure strengthening.

In İzmir, GDZ Elektrik has scheduled widespread outages across approximately 19 to 20 districts, including Aliağa, Bornova, Çeşme, and Karşıyaka, for October 2. Authorities advise residents, particularly those using sensitive medical equipment or running businesses, to take necessary precautions and charge portable devices in advance.
