İzmir tractor accident nearly strikes pedestrian with detached tanker
A water tanker detached from a tractor and nearly struck a pedestrian in the Buca district of İzmir. The incident occurred at the Heykel junction on Menderes Street when a driver lost control while entering a turn at high speed.
The tanker broke away from its connection point and slid toward the sidewalk, where a person was standing while talking on a mobile phone. The tanker eventually overturned, narrowly avoiding a direct collision with the pedestrian, who sustained minor injuries to the arm and shoulder.
Local shopkeepers reported hearing a loud noise similar to an explosion. Security camera footage from a nearby business captured the sequence of events. Police and medical teams arrived at the scene, and an investigation into the accident is underway.
