izmo Microsystems unveils silicon photonics and high-frequency RF packaging

izmo Microsystems, the semiconductor subsidiary of izmo Limited, has announced several advancements in specialized semiconductor packaging. At SEMICON India 2026, the company will showcase production-ready silicon photonics modules designed for data center interconnects and quantum infrastructure. These include a Quantum Random Number Generator module, a Quantum Key Distribution module, and a Thin-Film Lithium Niobate modulator.

Additionally, the Bangalore-based firm has developed an indigenous high-frequency RF Quad Flat No-Lead semiconductor package capable of operating at frequencies up to 40 GHz. Designed for defence and secure wireless communication, the package utilizes an optimized architecture with a precision air cavity to reduce parasitic effects. The company has begun production shipments of this RF package to support applications in radar, electronic warfare, and satellite communications.
