J. H. Krchovský receives Jaroslav Seifert Award

Poet J. H. Krchovský has been awarded the Jaroslav Seifert Award, one of the most significant literary honors in the Czech Republic. The award, presented by the Charter 77 Foundation for outstanding poetic or fiction work, includes a financial prize typically ranging between 100,000 and 250,000 CZK.

Upon receiving the honor, Krchovský made critical remarks regarding musician Jarek Nohavica. While acknowledging that Nohavica has expressed admiration for his writing, Krchovský stated that he would not wish for the singer to set his poems to music.
