j-hope and NIGO collaborate on new Nike Air Force 1

BTS member j-hope and Japanese designer NIGO have announced a collaboration on a new Nike Air Force 1 sneaker. The release, titled ‘Burnt Sunrise’, utilizes the 2001 silhouette, featuring a more streamlined profile and narrower toe box compared to modern versions.

The design incorporates a warm autumnal color palette of brown, gold, and copper, constructed with patent leather. It includes ‘Chlorine Blue’ accents and a squirrel motif embroidered on the lateral heel, a symbol used by fans to represent j-hope. The branding on the tongue and heel features mismatched ‘J-HOPE AIR’ and ‘NIGO AIR’ text.

This project serves as a stop on NIGO’s ‘Air Force 1 World Tour’, a series where he collaborates with various creative figures. For j-hope, the collaboration holds personal significance as he noted that white Air Force 1s were the first shoes he wore for dancing.
