J. J. Benítez to release new book ‘Amado Gurú’ in September

Spanish author J. J. Benítez will release his new book, ‘Amado Gurú’, through the Almuzara publishing house in early September. The work is described as a unique literary proposal that defies standard classification.

The book is the result of over thirty years of research, during which Benítez collected approximately 5,000 photographs of signs, pictograms, and symbols from his travels worldwide. These images serve as the foundation for the narrative.

The plot follows the interstellar ship Magonia, which arrives at a deserted Earth devoid of humans or historical records. A group of extraterrestrial scientists attempts to reconstruct human civilization using only the remaining signs and pictograms, leading to a satirical and unsettling reflection on human nature, religion, and conflict.
