J. J. Schubert wins 78th Birchbank Men’s Open

J. J. Schubert, a golfer from Trail, won the Open division of the 78th Birchbank Men’s Open with a two-day total of 1-over 145. Schubert secured the title through consistent play, shooting an even par 72 on Friday and a 1-over on Saturday.

Jeff Langin finished in second place, two strokes behind Schubert, after recording the best Saturday round with a 2-under 70. Aidan Browell took third place with a total of 152. In the Seniors division, Gene Lockerby claimed the title with a 2-under 142 total.

Derrick Simister won the overall Low Net in the Open Division, while Dave Stadler earned the overall Low Net for the Seniors division.
