J. Safra Sarasin launches private banking branch in Athens
The Swiss banking group J. Safra Sarasin has entered the Greek market by launching a branch in Athens to expand its presence in key European markets. Operating through Banque J. Safra Sarasin (Luxembourg) SA, the new branch is registered with the Bank of Greece and began operations on September 15.
The Athens office will serve as a local point of contact for high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutional investors residing in Greece. While the local presence facilitates client interaction, the branch will connect to the bank’s booking center in Luxembourg to provide access to the group’s international wealth management and investment capabilities.
Lia Pittouli, Managing Director of Banque J. Safra Sarasin (Luxembourg) SA – Greek Branch, will lead the local operations, reporting to CEO Jules Moor. The group intends to focus on personalized solutions and sustainable investments, a field in which the firm has operated for over 35 years.
