J. Todd Anderson, longtime Coen Brothers collaborator, dies at 67

Storyboard artist J. Todd Anderson has died at the age of 67 following a battle with cancer. His death was confirmed by podcast co-host George Willeman, noting he passed away on October 2 in California.

Anderson was a prominent figure in Hollywood, known for a long-standing collaboration with filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen. He provided storyboards for every Coen Brothers film, beginning with 1987’s Raising Arizona. His extensive credits include classics such as Fargo, The Big Lebowski, The Ladykillers, True Grit, and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.

Beyond his work with the Coens, Anderson contributed to numerous high-profile projects including The Nice Guys, Twister, The Addams Family, and Warcraft. He was also a director of the films The Naked Man and My Mummy, and received three Art Directors Guild award nominations for his work on The Tragedy of Macbeth, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, and Hail, Caesar!.
