J1 League: Kashiwa Reysol secures record wins as Shimizu S-Pulse seeks recovery

Kashiwa Reysol has achieved a club record by winning its first four opening matches of the J1 League season. This surge in performance follows a period of struggle in the previous season, where the team finished 15th. A key factor in their current success is the tactical integration of Keita Endo, who joined from FC Tokyo this summer. Endo’s ability to adapt his positioning to complement teammates like Hinata Yamauchi and Hayato Nakama has revitalized the team's attacking width and positional play.

In contrast, Shimizu S-Pulse is currently facing a difficult period, having suffered three consecutive league defeats. Midfielder Yudai Shimamoto, a member of the U-21 Japan national team, expressed a strong desire to secure a victory for the supporters in their upcoming home match against FC Tokyo on September 2. Shimamoto, who has started all four league matches this season, emphasized a focus on individual performance and team objectives to break the losing streak.
