J2 Metals and Q2 Metals report significant mineral exploration results
J2 Metals has reported high-grade silver sampling at its Sierra Plata Silver-Gold-Antimony Project in the Taxco district of Guerrero, Mexico. Systematic geological mapping and rock sampling have identified seven veins, including the El Salto and El Sabino veins. Notable results include 1,030 grams per tonne of silver from a dump sample at El Sabino and 811 grams per tonne of silver over 1.40 metres on the El Sabino vein trend. The company plans to initiate a trenching program across several identified veins as it advances drill permit applications.
In Canada, Q2 Metals Corp. has announced its best drill hole to date at the Cisco lithium project in Quebec. Drill hole CS26-093 intercepted 403.7 metres at 1.57% Li2O, part of a larger mineralized sequence. The hole encountered three separate pegmatite intervals, including a 213.8-metre section at 1.93% Li2O. The current summer drilling program aims to convert inferred mineral resources into the indicated category for the Cisco deposit, which holds an inferred resource of approximately 295 million tonnes.
