Jašar Ahmedovski recalls the tragic death of his brother Ipče

Singer Jašar Ahmedovski has reflected on the tragic death of his brother, Ipče Ahmedovski, who died in a traffic accident on the Ibarska magistrala over two decades ago.

Ahmedovski recalled that they had arranged to meet at a cafe on the night of the accident, but he arrived late because a composer had detained him. By the time he arrived, Ipče had already left the venue. Ahmedovski described the loss as an “eternal pain” that time lessens but never fully removes.

He praised his brother’s character, describing him as a relaxed, friendly, and talented singer who possessed a unique voice. As a tribute to his brother’s legacy, Jašar Ahmedovski has made the decision to focus his repertoire primarily on Ipče’s songs during his performances.
