Jabali Academy Secures $10 Million at 3rd Empowering Minds Gala

Jabali Academy held its third annual "Empowering Minds" Gala on July 31 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The black‑carpet event brought together entertainers, athletes, educators and philanthropists to celebrate leaders such as Anthony Anderson, Gina Prince‑Bythewood, Debbie Allen, Norm Nixon, Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete. Founder Dr. Jon Carroll said the gala helps build momentum for the Academy’s inaugural school year, slated to open in August.

The fundraiser aims to raise $10 million to support the new school’s launch and to provide scholarships and programs that promote equity and academic excellence. Attendees included actors Charles Malik Whitfield and Sean Patrick Thomas, among many others, all contributing to the $10 million goal that will fund the Academy’s first academic year.
