Jabaroot hackers threaten to leak Moroccan intelligence identities

The hacker group known as Jabaroot has issued a major cyber threat against Morocco, claiming to possess a detailed list of identities belonging to members of the country's domestic intelligence service, the Direction Générale de la Surveillance du Territoire (DGST).

The group has already released partial data, including photographs and personal details such as military ranks, national ID numbers, and dates of birth for 20 agents from the DGST and DGSN. Jabaroot claims to hold a much larger database containing 70,386 names of officials. The hackers have used Telegram to communicate their demands, though their channels have faced deletions by the platform.

The group states this offensive is a retaliation for Moroccan actions regarding migration and border tensions in Ceuta. They have explicitly targeted high-ranking officials, including Abdellatif Hammouchi, the head of both the DGST and DGSN, as well as advisors to King Mohamed VI. The hackers demand an explanation from the Moroccan government regarding the situation in Ceuta and have threatened further mass leaks if their conditions are not met.
