Jablonec nad Nisou sells fire tender to Tatobity

The city of Jablonec nad Nisou is selling a former Tatra water tender truck to the municipality of Tatobity for 900,000 CZK. The vehicle previously served the volunteer fire department in Proseč nad Nisou until it was replaced by a modern cistern earlier this year.

Mayor Miloš Vele stated that the sale is a meaningful solution that keeps the vehicle within the Liberec Region to continue protecting lives and property while providing funds for the city to further develop equipment for its volunteer fire units. The purchase price will be paid in two installments, with the first 450,000 CZK due upon the signing of the contract in 2026 and the remainder one year later.

This transaction follows a significant fleet renewal in Jablonec nad Nisou, where the city invested 31.5 million CZK in three new cisterns for the Proseč nad Nisou, Kokotín, and Jablonec nad Jizerou units. These upgrades were supported by subsidies from the Ministry of the Interior and the Liberec Region.
