Czech Republic hosts various regional and cultural festivals

Various cultural and regional festivals are taking place across the Czech Republic, highlighting local traditions, history, and gastronomy.

In Prague, Vyšehrad will host a Royal Day commemorating the coronation of Vratislav II, featuring medieval camps and historical demonstrations. In Hradec Králové, the Royal Festivals will offer nearly a hundred performances, including concerts and a hot air balloon display. Jablonec nad Nisou is celebrating its 160th anniversary of city status with the Jablonecká Perle festival, which connects glassmaking traditions with modern art.

Other notable events include the Vizovické Trnkobraní festival, featuring music and a traditional dumpling-eating competition, and the Živé dřevěnice event in Valašské Klobouky focusing on regional crafts. Regional food festivals are also active, such as the Chutě kraje in Šumperk. Additionally, many towns are hosting weekend activities like the Hradozámecká noc, which offers nighttime tours of castles and chateaus, and various local celebrations in Telč, Jihlava, and Kadaň.
