Jablonné v Podještědí historical photo album rediscovered

A forgotten historical photo album from 1950 has been rediscovered in Jablonné v Podještědí, offering a rare glimpse into post-war life in the Czech region. The collection, which was intended to serve as a municipal chronicle, remained untouched for over seven decades before being found by local collector Petr Pazdera.

The album contains unique images of social life, community events, and vanished architecture. Most notably, it features behind-the-scenes photographs from the 1949 filming of the Czechoslovak comedy ‘Rodinné trampoty’, starring Saša Rašilov starší. These shots provide a perspective on the production and the town's atmosphere that differs from the finished film.
