Jaboatão dos Guararapes: Car struck by light rail vehicle

A car was struck by a Light Rail Vehicle (VLT) on Saturday morning in Jardim Prazeres, Jaboatão dos Guararapes. The collision occurred near the Vitarela factory after the vehicle entered the railway tracks at a signaled level crossing.

The Companhia Brasileira de Trens Urbanos (CBTU) stated that the driver committed a traffic infraction by entering the rail zone. No injuries were reported, and train services were not interrupted. This follows a similar incident in the same neighborhood on October 10, which resulted in two injuries.
