Jaca announces fourth edition of medieval history festival
The fourth edition of the cultural and tourism festival ‘Jaca, Reino y Leyenda’ has been announced, scheduled to take place on September 25, 26, and 27. The event, which is recognized as a Festival of Tourist Interest in Aragon, focuses on Jaca’s historical significance as the former capital of the Kingdom of Aragon.
This year’s program aims to expand the event’s reach by combining historical rigor with public spectacle. A major addition is the strengthening of the academic component, featuring a cycle of historical conferences from September 22 to 24. These sessions will include expert panels and presentations by specialists such as historian José Luis Corral, archaeologist Julia Justes, and medieval archaeologist Alberto Gómez, covering topics like the Fuero de Jaca and the city's medieval heritage.
